Poker Rules

In order to play Texas Hold'Em is essential that you understand the rules of the game. There are many books that you can buy that all these rules explain. Also there are many poker websites where they are explained in understandable terms. You can also retrieve knowledge of the rules by looking at many poker players and by asking why they make certain moves. The Texas Hold'Em poker rules:

  1. The dealer shuffles a game of 52 cards. The jokers are never used in online poker. The dealer never plays himself a hand. If there is no separate dealer every player splits in turn. The person who has to share has a dealer button in front of him. This button moves on every turn. If there is a separate dealer the button still shift after each turn, this is to indicate which players the small blind and big blind bet.
  2. The two players left of the dealer are the ones who have to pay the blinds to start with one hand. The player to the left pays the small blind and the next player pays the big blind. This is a predetermined amount in the pot that the players must stop to ensure that money in the pot. The small blind is equal to half the minimum bet and the big blind is the full commitment.
  3. If the blinds are paid, the dealer split the cards one by one to each player. Each player receives two cards face down. These are also called the hole cards. The players view their cards and decide whether they want to call / use or modify.
  4. The betting starts after each player has seen his or her cards. The player who sits on the left side of the big blind can start betting. In turn, players decide whether they wish to fold, bet, call or raise.
  5. Once this round is over the dealer shares the flop. There is a map closed to play because there is always a possibility that one of the players have seen this card and will enable deployment. When this card is burned, the dealer puts three cards in the middle of the table. This is called the flop and the cards are community cards that each player can use their own cards to combine them.
  6. After the flop the next betting round starts. The player left of the dealer must first decide. Players can choose to fold, call, raise or check.
  7. After burning the dealer another card and shares the fourth card. This card is called the turn. After a further round of betting follows.
  8. The last card divided by the dealer is called the river. This is the final round of the hand. After the betting round the showdown comes. The person with the best hand wins the pot.
